It is a series of light novels written by Wataru Watari and illustrated by Ponkan8, who published them through the Gagaga Bunko imprint of Shogakukan publishing house between March 2011 and November 2019, with a total of 14 volumes.
The play has inspired several manga adaptations and an anime adaptation produced by Brain's Base Studios, under the direction of Ai Yoshimura and Shotuarou Suga, released in April 2013.
