The game Magia Record: Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica Gaiden will close its server in English

On the official English account of the Magia Record: Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica Gaiden smartphone game, it was announced that the English application will close its servers on September 29 at 11:59 PM PT.
The in-game stores (which use the Magic Stones as their currency) will stop selling the currency as of September 10. Additionally, the 30-day "Magic Passes" will cease to be sold as of August 30. The official site posted a cessation schedule for various aspects of the game.
  • August 30 11:59 PM PT: 30-day “Magic Pass” sales cease.
  • August 31 2:00 AM PST: All events will be released in-game.
  • From August 31 at 2:00 a.m. to September 10 at 11:59 p.m. (Pacific Time): Special event “Mitama’s Special Training: Iroha & Yachiyo”.
  • September 10 11:59 PM PT: “Magia Stone” coin sales cease.
  • From September 11 at 2:00 AM to September 17 at 11:59 PM (Pacific Time): “Mirrors Ranking Round 4” event.
  • September 29 at 11:59 p.m. (Pacific Time): Total cessation of operations.
For its part, the role-playing game for smartphones was developed by f4samurai and released for iOS and Android devices by Aniplex in Japan on August 22, 2017, and in North America on June 25, 2019.

The installment inspired a thirteen-episode anime adaptation produced by Shaft Studios, directed and scripts written by Gekidan Inu Curry, released in January 2020. Production for a second season is confirmed.
