On the other hand, the production of an OVA for the series was also announced, which will go on sale in 2021 in Japan. It is not yet known if this launch will feature an original story or if it will adapt an episode of the manga.
Aka Akasaka began publishing the manga in Shueisha publisher's Miracle Jump magazine in May 2015, and moved it to Weekly Young Jump magazine in 2016. The publisher published the 19th compiled volume on July 17, and will publish the twentieth next November 19.
The play inspired two anime adaptations released in January 2019 and April 2020, respectively, and produced by A-1 Pictures studios. On October 25, the event “Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai on Stage ~ Shuuchin Ongaku-tan” will be held in Japan, where important announcements of this franchise are expected.
