The Bandai Namco Entertainment company released the new opening sequence of the “Last Cradle” arc of the Tales of the Rays smartphone game. According to the statement, Wit Studio was in charge of animating the sequence, which features the theme song "I Believe" performed by BoA.

The company also released an animated commercial for this new arc of the smartphone game.

Furthermore, the game inspired a short anime titled Tales of the Rays: Everlasting Destiny, which premiered through the app itself in July 2019. Bandai Namco Entertainment had previously streamed an animated video for the “Fairy's Requiem” arc, featuring the theme “Mirai kara no Hikari” by DEEN in January 2019.

The game was finally released for iOS and Android devices in Japan in February 2017. The Bandai Namco Entertainment America division released an English version a year later, although it finally ended up shutting down its servers in May 2018.

Tales of the Rays Synopsis

The world of Tir Na Nog was brought to prosperity by the Chiral Particles, which produce infinite energy. It eventually led to the development of special weapons and finally, the development of the Kaleidoscope, a terrible weapon that could drain the anima from people's hearts and materials to turn them into light. Overuse led to the anima being separated from the world itself, turning everything to dust.

The repentant users then oversaw Project Aegis, which sought to revitalize their dying world. Years later, Tir Na Nog has returned to a green land, but one day a meteor shower takes the island where Ix Nieves and Mileena Weiss live. Surviving by pure chance, the two are aided by the Salvation Front and discover a new and grave threat to the world.
