The final chapter of the spin-off manga written and illustrated by Ariko, SSSS.Gridman: Shinseki Chuugakusei Nikki was published in this year's twelfth edition of Kadokawa's Monthly Comic Alive magazine.
Ariko began publishing the manga in Kadokawa publisher's Monthly Comic Alive magazine in October 2019. The publisher published the first compiled volume on May 23, and will publish the second on December 23 in Japan. This manga is part of the spin-off projects of the original Trigger studios anime, SSSS.Gridman, announced in May 2019. This spin-off focuses on the Neon Genesis Junior High students and their daily lives as they chase cats. , buy treats and eat nabe together.
On the other hand, SSSS.Gridman is an anime series based on the 1993 tokusatsu series, Choujin Gridman. The twelve-episode series was produced by Trigger Studios, directed by Akira Amemiya and scripts written by Keiichi Hasegawa, released in October 2018. Synopsis of SSSS.Gridman
Yuuta Hibiki wakes up in Rikka Takarada's room and realizes two things: he has no memories and can hear a mysterious voice calling him from a nearby room. On closer inspection, he finds a robot, posing as the Hyper Agent Gridman, behind an old computer. To Yuuta's surprise, Rikka mentions that she cannot hear Gridman, nor can she see the ominous monsters hovering above a thick fog that envelops the city outside.
Another giant monster materializes in the city and proceeds to wreak havoc. Amid the confusion, Yuuta finds himself drawn back to the old computer and ends up merging with Gridman. Suddenly, he appears in the middle of battle and is forced to fight the monster. Together with RIkka and his partner Shou Utsumi, Yuuta forms the "Gridman Alliance" to defeat the monsters that plague the city and find the person responsible for their appearance.
