The series has its premiere scheduled for January 9, 2021 on television in Japan. For his part, Ashihara began publishing the manga in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in 2013. The manga went on hiatus since November 2016 due to Ashihara's poor health, and was resumed in December 2018, this time in Jump SQ magazine. Going forward, the series would take multiple breaks for the same reasons.
