Through the Twitter account for the animated adaptation of the manga written and illustrated by Hajime Isayama, Shingeki no Kyojin, a special illustration was published to commemorate the broadcast of the second episode for the final season of the anime. This cartoon was illustrated by Park Dae-Yeo, the cartoon director who is part of the production team for the series.

The opening sequence of the anime was also published with no credits. The theme is called Shougeki and is performed by the Japanese singer Yuuko Andou.

On the other hand, this final season was released in Japan last December 7th and it is confirmed with a total of 16 episodes that will be broadcasted continuously. The Crunchyroll and Funimation platforms are in charge of the distribution of the series in Latin America, with the latter also offering dubbing into Latin Spanish, although limited to Mexico and Brazil.

Isayama began publishing the manga in Kodansha's Bessatsu Shonen Magazine in September 2009. The publisher published the thirty-first volume of the compilation on April 9, and the thirty-second volume on September 9.
