The company Gemdrops published a promotional video for their next two virtual reality (VR) games based on the manga written and illustrated by Afro, Yuru Camp (Laid-Back Camp). The video reveals the release dates, with Yuru Camp Virtual Camp Motosuko-hen launching in March and Yuru Camp Virtual Camp Fumoto Jou-hen launching in April.

Both deliveries will be launched in Japan for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, iOS, Android and PC via Steam, and will support the PSVR, Oculus Rift, HTC Vive and Switch VR Kit. The games will have audio in Japanese, with subtitles in English, Japanese, Chinese (simplified and traditional), Korean and French.

Afro began publishing the manga in Houbunsha's Time Kirara Forward Manga magazine in July 2015, and in February 2019 it was moved to the Comic Fuz website. The publisher published the tenth compilation volume on March 12 and will publish the eleventh on January 7, 2021.

The work inspired a twelve-episode anime adaptation produced by C-Station Studios, under the direction of Yoshiaki Kyougoku, and scripts written by Jin Tanaka, released in January 2018. The second season of the series was released on January 7 and will feature a total of 13 episodes.

Synopsis of Yuru Camp

While the perfect getaway for most girls her age can be an extravagant vacation with loved ones, Rin Shima's ideal way is to camp alone at the base of Mount Fuji. From pitching her tent to gathering firewood, she has always done everything herself and has no plans to leave her small, lonely world.

However, what begins as one of Rin's regular camping sessions somehow ends as a surprise reunion for two when the lost Nadeshiko Kagamihara is forced to take refuge in her camp. Originally intended to see the picturesque view of Mount Fuji for herself, Nadeshiko's plans are interrupted when she ends up falling asleep in the middle of her destination. Alone and with no other option, she seeks the help of the only person close to her. Despite their hasty introductions, the two girls enjoy the cold night together, eating ramen and chatting while the fire keeps them warm. And even after Nadeshiko's sister finally picked her up later that night, both girls quietly reflected on the possibility of taking another camping trip together.
