A new promotional video for the smartphone game developed by Cygames, Uma Musume: Pretty Derby, was published on the official YouTube channel "Poka TV". The video is narrated by the voice actresses Azumi Waki and Rena Maeda.

The game will be released in Japan next February 24th for iOS and Android devices, however, there is no global launch planned to date. Originally its launch was scheduled for Winter-2018 (January-March), however, it was delayed indefinitely since then with the aim of improving the quality of the final product.

On the other hand, this franchise also inspires adaptations to manga and anime. The first season of thirteen episodes was produced by the P.A.WORKS studios, under the direction of Kei Oikawa and scripts written by Akihiko Ishihara, released in April 2018. A second season animated by Studio Kai has been on air in Japan since January 5th.

Description of Uma Musume: Pretty Derby

The concept of the game begins with the Uma Musume (Horse Girls), girls with excellent running skills who aspire to become the best idols and compete in the national sports entertainment program, "Twinkle Series". The players take on the role of teacher and coach for the girls at the Nihon Uma Musume Training Center Gakuen (Japan's Horse Girls' Training Center Academy), and help them make their industry debut.
