Anime
publishing and production company IMAGICA Infos announced on
Sunday the creation of a new label dedicated to the boys love genre
called Balloon, in collaboration with Dai Nippon Printing
(DNP), CYBIRD and Blue Rights.
First
project: "light" anime for 2026
The first
title under this imprint will be the "light anime" adaptation
of Tenma Asahi's light novel, Saioshi no Gikei
Mederu Tame, Nagaikishimasu! (In Order to Love My Dear
Brother-in-Law, I Will Live Long!). The production will be in charge
of DNP together with the Animation ID division
of IMAGICA Infos, with a premiere scheduled for 2026.
The concept
of "light anime", promoted mainly by DNP, seeks to create
animation at a lower cost and in tighter deadlines than traditional production.
The Balloon label plans to launch four projects during fiscal
year 2026, with the ambition to develop a workflow that will allow it to
produce more than ten titles annually by 2028.
Plot of
Saioshi no Gikei Mederu Tame, Nagaikishimasu!
The story
follows a player trying to protect his favorite character, who is reincarnated
as his older brother-in-law within a simulation game. However, the player
himself is reborn as the younger brother who was destined to die.

AlphaPolis released
the first volume of the light novel in September 2021, and recently published
the fifth compilation volume on January 20. In January 2025, Aki
Tsujimoto began the manga adaptation of the series under the Andarche
label on the AlphaPolis platform, with the first compiled volume published on
August 1 and the second scheduled for July 2.
