Have you
ever met up with an old friend again and it turns out that everything changed?
The official website for the anime adaptation of the light novel with a kilometer-long
title, Tenkō-saki no Seiso Karen na Bishōjo ga, Mukashi Danshi to Omotte Issho
ni Asonda Osananajimi Datta Ken (or simply Tenko-saki for
friends), revealed its second promotional video and a new visual image on
Wednesday. The most important news is the confirmation of its premiere window:
the series will arrive in 2026.
Along with
the trailer, it was confirmed that the talented Ikumi Hasegawa (Vladilena
Milizé in 86: Eighty-Six, Kita Ikuyo in Bocchi the Rock!)
will lend her voice to the female lead, Haruki Nikaidō. The project
was originally announced in September 2023 and has kept fans waiting for
concrete news.
This teen
romantic comedy revolves around Hayato, who transfers to a high
school in the city. There he reunites with Haruki, whom he
remembers as a child with whom he used to play seven years ago. However, the
surprise is huge when Hayato realizes that Haruki is, in fact, a beautiful
girl.
About
the original work
The light
novel series is written by Yu Hibari with illustrations
by Siso. It began its journey on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website
in 2020, before being physically published by Kadokawa in
2021. It also features a manga adaptation made by Ōyama in Comic
Walker.
With a
title as long as its misunderstandings, this series promises to be a fun
addition to the catalog of school romances.
