The second season of Medalist reveals new trailer with premiere date and ending

Sharpen your skates because the competition is about to level up! The production team behind the anime adaptation of Tsurumaikada's acclaimed manga, Medalist, began streaming the second promotional video for its long-awaited second season on Tuesday. The trailer not only lets us see the intensity that awaits us on the track, but also reveals and lets us listen to a preview of the closing theme, entitled "Rookies" and performed by Conton Candy.



Mark your calendar, because the series will make its official debut on January 24 within TV Asahi's "NUMAnimation" programming block. In addition, for the most impatient, the first two episodes will have an early screening on January 17 at the Marunouchi Piccadilly in Tokyo.


An incredible detail for lovers of real skating is that Japanese figure skater Rika Hongo will participate in the motion capture for this season's routines, collaborating with the former Olympian Akiko Suzuki, who returns to supervise the choreography.

The second season is loaded with new talents that will put Inori to the test. A long list of additions to the voice cast has been confirmed:

  • Ai Kayano (Darkness on KonoSuba) as Marika Kurione

It should be remembered that the girl group HANA will perform the opening theme "Cold Night". With the manga having won prestigious awards such as the Shogakukan Manga Award and the Kodansha Manga Award, expectations for this sequel are sky-high.
