Sharpen
your skates because the competition is about to level up! The production team
behind the anime adaptation of Tsurumaikada's acclaimed
manga, Medalist, began streaming the second promotional video for
its long-awaited second season on Tuesday. The trailer not only lets us see the
intensity that awaits us on the track, but also reveals and lets us listen to a
preview of the closing theme, entitled "Rookies" and
performed by Conton Candy.
Mark your
calendar, because the series will make its official debut on January 24 within TV
Asahi's "NUMAnimation" programming block. In addition, for
the most impatient, the first two episodes will have an early screening on
January 17 at the Marunouchi Piccadilly in Tokyo.
An
incredible detail for lovers of real skating is that Japanese figure
skater Rika Hongo will participate in the motion capture for
this season's routines, collaborating with the former Olympian Akiko
Suzuki, who returns to supervise the choreography.
