Coming
face-to-face with one of gaming's most beloved heroines was too tempting a
proposition for the infrastructure to withstand the pressure. Developer
SpiralAI announced at the last minute that it has postponed the
official release of RyzaChat:AI (RyzaChat:AI: The Midsummer
Dream Story You Create with Ryza), the new free-to-play conversational RPG
based on the acclaimed Atelier Ryza franchise.
The app was
scheduled to debut in digital stores this Tuesday, but the massive response
from the public ended up surpassing all the projections of the development
team. As explained by the company in an official statement, the volume of users
who completed the pre-registration overwhelmingly exceeded estimates, which
forced it to make the decision to reinforce the architecture of its servers at
a forced pace. Although the technical preparations continued until a few hours
before the scheduled time, the board preferred to apologize for the last-minute
notice and guarantee a stable service rather than launch a product prone to
massive crashes and errors.
Developed
under official license, RyzaChat:AI offers a role-playing
experience where players progress through the adventure, solve alchemy recipes,
and engage in combat simply by interacting directly with Ryza herself. The
company confirmed that the new goal is to enable the servers no later than the end
of next week, promising to reveal the exact date as soon as the load tests
conclude.
