The popular
light novel Haibara's Teenage New Game+, written by Kazuki
Amamiya and illustrated by Gin, has officially confirmed
that it will have an anime adaptation. Although details about the cast, studio,
or release date have not yet been revealed, the announcement was shared
through HJ Bunko's official account along with a promotional
image that generated great excitement among fans.
A story
about second chances
Published
since 2021 under Hobby Japan's HJ Bunko imprint,
this story also features a full-color vertical manga adaptation, with
illustrations by Misaomaru.
J-Novel
Club, who publishes
the novel in English, describes the plot as an introspective journey full of
humor, nostalgia and redemption. The protagonist, Natsuki Haibara,
is a college student with social anxiety and a school past that he would rather
forget. However, everything changes when, inexplicably, he wakes up seven years
in the past, just a month before starting high school.
With fresh
memories of his mistakes, Haibara will try to rewrite his adolescence: avoid
social isolation, improve his physical health, become popular and, perhaps,
conquer the love of his life. It won't be easy, but with the help of online
tutorials, an exercise plan, and a childhood friend, you'll try to turn your
destiny around.
A story
that will connect with everyone
Haibara's
Teenage New Game+ touches
on a universal theme: the desire to go back in time to make everything better.
Sounds familiar, right?
With a
light, thoughtful narrative full of situations with which many will identify,
this adaptation promises to become one of the most anticipated series by lovers
of school novels with touches of science fiction.
We will be
attentive to the next announcements about this long-awaited production, which
promises to give a lot to talk about in the coming months.
