Reincarnating
in another world is usually the golden ticket to becoming an invincible hero
with unique abilities, but very few get to start from the lowest rung of the
food chain. The animated adaptation of the manga So What's Wrong with
Getting Reborn as a Goblin? (Tensei Goblin dakedo Shitsumon Aru?)
warmed up with the release of its new official trailer, a promotional image and
the confirmation that its television premiere is set for October 5.
The new
trailer gave viewers a first preview of the opening track titled
"Hello," performed by singer-songwriter Sou. For the
closing theme, the production confirmed that the AHUB group
will lend their talent with the song "Chiisana Bokura". In the
technical section, the direction is under the responsibility of Ryota
Kawahara at the Bakkka studio, working with Yuichiro
Momose in the writing and supervision of the scripts, while Hiroyuki
Saita is in charge of the design of the characters and Takenoko
Boy composes the music.
To
complement the work team, the production added Maika Hosoda in
art direction, Naomi Kiyota in color design, Tsukasa
Matsui in photography direction and Yuuji Oka in
editing. With these additions, the project enters its final stretch of
preparation to debut in the fall season.
Written
by Nazuna Miki and illustrated by Tsukasa Araki,
the original manga began digital publication on Shueisha's Tonari no Young Jump
platform in February 2020. The work has built a constant readership base
throughout fourteen compilation volumes in the Japanese market, with the
release of its fifteenth volume scheduled for September 17. The story follows
the misadventures of an ordinary human who wakes up in a fantasy world
transformed into a simple goblin, the weakest creature in the kingdom, having
to use all his cunning to survive in an environment where practically
everything seeks to exterminate him.
