Creating
stories from scratch is never an easy path, but when the passion for drawing
burns you inside, there is no going back. After airing the twelfth episode that
marked the closing of its initial installment, the animated adaptation of Draw
This, Then Die! (Kore Kaite Shine) gave the definitive surprise by
officially confirming that it will have a second season.
The news
came immediately after the broadcast of its first part concluded, calming the
anxiety of the viewers who fell in love with this emotional work about artistic
creation. The production has been able to capture with enormous sensitivity the
weight of creative work, the doubts of those who start drawing and the
emotional shock of meeting the figures you admire.
The project
was directed by Hiroaki Akagi under the animation work of the Shin-Ei Animation
studio. In the scripts, the work of Hiroko Fukuda with Aki Itami and Kanichi
Kato stood out, managing to transfer the essence of the role to the screen with
the character design of Takekazu Segawa and the music composed by Hiroaki
Tsutsumi. The main songs also left a great mark, with the opening theme by
Tatsuya Kitani and the closing by the band Regal Lily.
The voice
cast shone for its enormous level of interpretation. Actress Akira Sekine
played the passionate Ai Yasumi, accompanied by Saori Hayami as Rei Teshima,
Saya Hitomi as Kokoro Fujimori and Kanon Fujimura as Sachi Akafuku. The cast
was spectacularly complemented by Inori Minase playing Hikaru Sekiryu, Noriko
Hidaka as the voice of the endearing Pokota, Atsumi Tanezaki playing Nana
Teramura, Yukana as editor Hana Kongoji and Kikuko Inoue in the role of the
experienced author Hebichika.

routine changes abruptly when she discovers that her favorite author and cult
figure, known as Yasuno, will be making an appearance at the Comitia
convention. Without a second thought, Ai sets out on a journey to meet his
heroine, triggering a series of face-to-face encounters with the reality of drawing,
thwarted genius, and the true meaning of what it takes to create a work of his
own.
