For those
who thought that the maximum difficulty was an insurmountable obstacle, Allen
has just shown that he is only beginning his game. Just at the end of episode
number thirteen that marked the conclusion of its second installment, the
animated adaptation of Hell Mode dropped the bombshell that fantasy fans
were waiting for: the series will have a third season.
The
production accompanied the announcement with a first visual art focused on the
next stage of the story, which will adapt the acclaimed arc of the conquest of
the S-Rank dungeon. In the promotional image, Allen can be seen with Meruru and
his imposing giant golem Tamtam ready for battle. This new phase promises to
drastically raise the threat level, forcing the protagonist's group to face
ridiculously powerful creatures in an environment where any mistake can cost
their lives.
The series
has maintained an impeccable pace of work by the Yokohama Animation Lab
studio. After the premiere of its twelve-episode first season in early 2026 and
a second part broadcast during the summer season that concluded at the end of
September with thirteen installments, the creative team is once again putting
on the shirt to adapt one of the most anticipated arcs by readers of the
novels.
About
Hell Mode
Born from Hamuo's
imagination, the work began as a web novel published on the Shousetsuka ni Narou
portal in November 2019, making the leap to the printed format under the Earth
Star Novel label of the Earth Star Entertainment publishing house with
illustrations by Mo, also adding a manga version illustrated by Enji
Tetta.
The plot
follows the story of Kenichi Yamada, an inveterate gamer obsessed with extreme
challenges who, after trying a mysterious game without interface or tutorials
set in the "Hell Mode" difficulty, ends up reincarnated in a fantasy
world under the name of Allen. In this new environment, leveling up requires an
absurd amount of experience versus normal difficulty, but his unique summoner
skills and calculating mindset allow him to make his way through a world full
of danger.
