Surviving in an Extreme Otome game has never been more popular. The Piccoma platform excited the entire community by officially confirming that the hit webtoon Villains Are Destined to Die (Akuyaku no Ending wa Shi nomi) will have its own animated adaptation for television. The big announcement came with bittersweet news for readers, as the creators also confirmed the definitive end of the main story of the work.

The plot immerses us in the classic fantasy of reincarnation, but with an absurdly high level of difficulty. The protagonist wakes up inside her favorite otome game trapped in the body of Penelope Eckhart, the villainous waifu that everyone hates in hard mode. While playing as the heroine gives you the easy love of the male characters, being the villain, any misstep leads irremediably to death at the hands of her brothers, the crown prince or any everyday object. Armed only with her knowledge of the game, Penelope will have to win the affections of these dangerous men to find a way to survive.

The original work, written by Gwon Gyeoeul and masterfully illustrated by SUOL, debuted in 2020 and quickly positioned itself as one of the most read titles in South Korea through Kakao Page. The manhwa reached an impressive number of more than fourteen million views, closing its main plot in chapter 214 last July. However, fans should not be sad about the conclusion of the print, as the editorial team plans to launch a long-awaited spin-off after a well-deserved break.

Seeing that more and more South Korean stories about reincarnated villains manage to successfully consolidate themselves within the anime industry
