They can
improve the animation of Dragon Ball Super all they want, but there is
something that Latin American fans would surely not be willing to change: the
voices of Goku and Vegeta. Crunchyroll and Toei Animation confirmed that Dragon
Ball Super: Beerus will have Latin dubbing starting on November 12, 2026,
allowing fans of the franchise to enjoy this improved version with the
performances they have known for years.
The
announcement was accompanied by a trailer dubbed into Spanish, where we can
hear Mario Castañeda as Goku and René García as Vegeta again. Also
returning are José Luis Orozco playing Bills, the God of Destruction, and
Arturo Castañeda as Whis. Apparently, we won't have to get used to new voices
for the main characters, although there are still some doubts about how the
dubbing of this edition has been worked on.
The
platform confirmed that the dubbed episodes will arrive every Thursday,
starting on November 12 at 10:00 a.m., Mexico City time. In addition to Latin
Spanish, the production will also be available with English and Portuguese
dubbing, so fans from different regions will be able to enjoy this new
presentation of the anime.
Dragon
Ball Super returns with improved animation
For those
who are not yet aware, Dragon Ball Super: Beerus is a renewed edition of
the anime that originally aired between 2015 and 2018. Toei Animation has made corrections
and new animation sequences, as well as modified visual effects and
rearranged part of the story to improve its presentation. Of course, we are not
talking about a continuation with unpublished events, but a new version of the
adventures we already know.
The story
begins after Majin Buu's defeat, when Goku and his friends enjoy a period of
tranquility until Bills awakens from his prolonged sleep. The God of
Destruction hears rumors about a powerful Saiyan and decides to visit Earth,
causing a series of events that will end up introducing the Super Saiyan God
and other important elements of the franchise.
This
edition also includes events related to the resurrection of Frieza and the
Champa tournament, recovering some of the first sagas of Dragon Ball
Super. However, this does not mean that all episodes will be available with
dubbing from day one, as Crunchyroll has confirmed that their distribution will
be weekly.
It should
be remembered that Dragon Ball Super: Beerus began broadcasting in Japan
on October 11, while Crunchyroll has been offering the episodes with subtitles
for international audiences. Now, with the arrival of Latin American voices,
fans will have another opportunity to revisit these battles and see how much
their visuals have changed compared to the original version.
