Just when
many thought that the story of the blond ninja had already delivered everything
it could give under the mandate of the new generations, its original creator
decided to hit the table. During the panel dedicated to the franchise at New
York Comic Con, it was officially confirmed that Masashi Kishimoto will
release a new manga titled Naruto Shadow Rising, immediately arousing
nostalgia among those who grew up with the classic work.
The
presentation included a short promotional video made up of storyboards that
showed the first details of this project. The images showed the stone faces of
the first six Hokage guarding the Hidden Leaf Village as the seventh face is
sculpted into the mountain. Next, the trailer focused on the members of the
legendary Team 7, showing a Naruto holding Hokage's hat, Kakashi smiling,
Sasuke with his characteristic serious look and Sakura tenderly contemplating a
baby, to close with a frontal clash of attacks between Naruto and Sasuke.
Although
the announcement served as a first preview of what the author is up to, the
deep details about the plot and its location in the timeline will be kept under
lock and key a little longer. The franchise confirmed that it will reveal all
the complete information about this new release during the Jump Festa event to
be held in mid-December.
