 About Ufotable studies

Founded in October 2000 in Nakano, Tokyo, by former members of TMS Entertainment Studios and its subsidiary, Telecom Animation Film, their long journey has been full of good impressions for their fans. Ufotable started with series such as Dokkoida?!, Futakoi Alternative and Ninja Nonsense.

Later, Ufotable became more popular with projects such as the animated film adaptation of the light novels Kara no Kyoukai. Since then, they have done nothing but continue to impress viewers and improve their animation quality. So much so that, nowadays, any anime produced by this studio has a highly assured animation quality.

However, it is not superfluous to mention the infamous popularity of the studios with respect to their tradition of tax evasion. In June of this year, The Mainichi Shimbun newspaper reported that the Japanese tax authorities had accused the company and its founder, representative director and president Hikaru Kondo, of evading tax payments totaling 139 million yen (more than $1.28 million).
