On the official site for the original anime from Fuji TV and ZEXCS Studios, Bakuten !! (Backflip !!), the fourth promotional video of the project was published. The video shows a fragment of the closing theme titled “Anata ga Iru” and performed by Wacci. The series has its premiere scheduled for April 8.
The series was announced in November 2020 and takes place in Miyagi Prefecture. In fact, it is one of three projects planned in conjunction with Misaki no Mayoiga and Hula Fulla Dance, which aim to promote the Miyagi, Iwate and Fukushima Prefectures, respectively. This project is titled “Zutto Ouen Project 2011 + 10…”, and is being carried out to commemorate the great earthquake and tsunami of 2011.
Synopsis of Bakuten !!
The story takes place in Miyagi Prefecture, in the city of Iwanuma, and centers on a rhythmic gymnastics team from a high school. The series centers on Shoutarou Futaba, who is fascinated by gymnastics after witnessing it in his junior year of high school, and who joins the rhythmic gymnastics team at Soushuukan Academy. There he will befriend his classmate Ryouta Misato, who gained fame in the sport of rhythmic gymnastics during high school.
