In the
most recent issue of Weekly Shonen Jump magazine, it was listed that Taishi
Tsutsui 's popular manga , " We Never Learn:
BOKUBEN ( Bokutachi wa Benkyou ga Dekinai )", will
have a new one-shot that will be published on April 4 through
the Shonen Jump Plus service.
There
are no details yet regarding this upcoming OVA, and since the manga has five
different routes, each dedicated to the story's heroines (Uruka Takemoto, Rizu Ogata,
Fumino Furuhashi, Asumi Kominami, and Mafuyu Kirisu), we have no idea
which route this new OVA might be about. Or perhaps an additional new
route will be covered in this extra chapter? The surprise awaits!
In the
meantime, here are the details of the franchise:
- Taishi Tsutsui began publishing the
original manga in February 2017 and concluded it in December 2020, while
Shueisha published the 21st and final volume of the manga
in March 2021.
- The first season of the anime,
consisting of 13 episodes, premiered in April 2019, followed by a second
season, also consisting of 13 episodes, which began airing in October
2019. Aniplex of America licensed the anime under the title We
Never Learn: BOKUBEN and streamed it on platforms such as Hulu,
Crunchyroll, and FunimationNow (now discontinued).
- The first OVA of the franchise
was then bundled with the 14th volume of the manga, released in November
2019. The second OVA came with the 16th volume, published in April 2020.
- Later, Taishi Tsutsui launched
a new manga titled "Syd Craft: Love Is a Mystery" in Weekly
Shonen Jump magazine on November 18. This manga is available in English
simultaneously on the MANGA Plus service and the Shonen Jump app.
- The story follows Nariyuki
Yuiga, a young man from a humble background who is determined to earn a
full college scholarship upon graduating from high school. His school's principal
agrees to grant him the scholarship, but on one condition: Nariyuki must
tutor the two smartest girls in school and ensure they get into their
desired universities. The girls in question are Rizu Ogata, a
science prodigy who wants to study humanities, and Fumino Furuhashi, a
literature major with no talent for math. Nariyuki finds himself
in a difficult situation, as he must help both of them with their academic
weaknesses while also facing the challenges of being their tutor.
