As
previously announced in a previous news, the official site for the anime
adaptation of " Kobayashi-san Chi no Maid Dragon ( Miss
Kobayashi's Dragon Maid )" had unveiled a promotional video for
the upcoming film in the franchise, titled " Kobayashi-san Chi no
Maid Dragon: A Lonely Dragon Wants to be Loved ( Kobayashi-san
Chi no Maid Dragon: Samishigariya no Ryuu )", which will adapt
the critically acclaimed "Kanna Kamui Arc".
Back then,
it was confirmed that the film is slated for a June 27, 2025
release in theaters in Japan , and a new visual and two new cast
members were revealed during the AnimeJapan 2025 event: Fumihiko
Tachiki as Kimun Kamui and Nobunaga Shimazaki as Azad ,
along with the news that Fhána will be performing the opening theme
song, Namida no Parade (Tearful Parade).
Now, the
official site has gone a step further by releasing the full trailer for the
film, offering a preview of the ending theme song, "Bokutachi no
Hibi (Our Days)," performed by Sachiko Kobayashi, and revealing the insert
song "Negaigoto (Wish)," performed by Kotringo. The film
will be shown in 199 theaters in Japan and will feature immersive screenings in
4DX and MX4D formats, promising a unique experience for fans.
- Sachiko
Kobayashi 's Commentary : I'm Sachiko Kobayashi,
performing the ending theme song for the film Kobayashi-san Chi no Maid
Dragon: Samishigariya no Ryuu. This time, "Bokutachi no Hibi,"
is a song about universal love. Sometimes, when people interact, we think
we understand each other, but it turns out we don't. However, in my
opinion, just the fact that two people meet is a miracle. I think trying
to understand each other and get closer to each other is valuable.
"Bokutachi no Hibi" carries with it the message of treasuring
those days. It's a wonderful song that expresses that even if we forget
and then remember again and again, those days are a miracle, and that
living is an accumulation of miracles. I would love for everyone to be
able to hear this ending theme song in theaters!
- Director Tatsuya Ishihara's
Commentary: It's already roughly three months until the Maid Dragon film
premiere! It seems like a long time, but it sure will fly by. Finally, as
part of the trailer, you can see images of the main content. The voices of
Azad and Kimun Kamui, along with the wonderful theme music, have finally
been revealed. When I was a kid, I loved movie trailers. (There was a
weekly TV show that aired them.) At just a few minutes, they're packed
with excitement. Although they're short clips, I hope those of you
familiar with the source material and those of you who aren't, look
forward to finding out what these scenes are about!
There's no
doubt this film will represent a worthy return for the franchise, and be sure
to check out the details below:
