A post on Twitter went viral by showing a snippet of the volleyball match between Japan and Venezuela at the Tokyo Olympics . The snippet shows that at the moment when Japan marked a point in the state, a segment of the theme song “Imagination” was played by SPYAIR , the opening theme of the first season of the Haikyuu !! anime. By the way, Japan won the match with a score of 3-0.

On the other hand, Haruichi Furudate began publication of the manga in Shueisha publisher's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in February 2012 and ended it in July 2020, with the publisher compiling the work into a total of forty-five compilation volumes.

Four seasons of the animated adaptation of the project have been produced to date, accumulating a total of eighty-five episodes. The twenty-five episode first season aired in April 2014, followed by a twenty-five episode second season in October 2015, a ten-episode third season in October 2016, and a twenty-five episode fourth season in January and October 2020. All seasons have been produced by Production IG studios .

Sinopsis de Haikyuu !!

Shouyou Hinata started playing volleyball after seeing the "little giants" who played this sport when she was in elementary school. He suffers a crushing defeat in his first and last tournament in high school at the hands of rival Tobio Kageyama. So, Hinata joins the Karasuno High School volleyball team, vowing revenge against Kageyama. However, Kageyama is also on Karasuno's team. The former rivals form a legendary combo with Hinata's mobility and Kageyama's precise ball handling. Together, they take on the local tournaments and vow to face Karasuno's rival school in the nationals.
