Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken Reveals Visual For Upcoming Movie

On the official site for the anime adaptation of the light novels Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken ( That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime ), a new promotional image was revealed for the next feature film in the franchise, which will be titled Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken Movie: Guren no Kizuna-hen ( Scarlet Bond ). The press release confirmed that the premiere remains scheduled for next November 25 in theaters in Japan, while Crunchyroll will distribute it in Latin America in 2023.

The official synopsis writes:

A long-running conspiracy swirls around a mysterious power known as "Queen" in Raja, a small country west of Tempest. When a slime turned Demon Lord named Rimuru Tempest crosses paths with Hiiro, a survivor of the Ogre race, an amazing adventure filled with new characters begins. The power of bonds will be put to the test!

The first season of the anime adaptation was produced by 8-Bit studios , under the direction of Yasuhito Kikuchi and scripts written by Kazuyuki Fudeyasu , and premiered in October 2018. The second season was directed by Atsushi Nakayama and aired on two halves in January 2021 and July 2021 in Japan.

Satoru Mikami, 37, is a typical company worker who is perfectly content with his monotonous lifestyle in Tokyo, aside from never having gotten a girlfriend once in his life. In the midst of a chance encounter with his colleague, he falls victim to a random assailant on the street and is stabbed. However, as he succumbs to his injuries, a peculiar voice echoes in his mind and recites a bunch of commands that the dying man can't make sense of. When Satoru regains consciousness, he discovers that he has been reincarnated as a slime in an unknown realm. In doing so, he gains new abilities, most notably the power to devour anything and mimic his appearance and abilities.

Next, he stumbles upon the catastrophic-level sealed monster "Storm Dragon" Veldora, which has been sealed for the past 300 years from rampaging through a city. Understanding his situation, Satoru befriends him and promises to help him destroy the seal. In return, Veldora grants him the name Rimuru Tempest to grant him divine protection. Now freed from the mundanities of his past life, Rimuru embarks on a new journey with a clear goal in mind. As he gets used to his new physique, his gooey antics spread throughout the world, gradually altering his fate.
