Japanese distributor AmiAmi announced the release of a 1/7 scale figure based on the Sword Maiden (Tsurugi no Otome) character from the Goblin Slayer multimedia franchise for August 2023 in Japan.
The character is described as follows: " Tsurugi no Otome is a former gold-ranked adventurer who currently serves as the Archbishop of the Supreme God in the Temple of Law. She is an extremely beautiful woman who often wears a blindfold over her eyes. . Her body is covered in several faint scars that have mostly healed. Her eyes, which she keeps behind a blindfold, not so much. Tsurugi no Otome is a calm and collected person who does not usually get angry with others .
The product is about 230mm high, will be priced at 24,200 yen (about US$175), and is available for reservation on the dealer's official site.
Goblin Slayer Synopsis
Goblins are known for their ferocity, cunning, and rapid reproduction, but their reputation as the lowest of monsters means their threat is often overlooked. Raiding rural civilizations to kidnap females of other species for breeding, these vile creatures are free to continue their attack as adventurers turn a blind eye in favor of more rewarding tasks with higher rewards. To commemorate her first day as a Porcelain-ranked adventurer, the 15-year-old Priestess joins a group of young and enthusiastic rookies to investigate a tribe of goblins responsible for the disappearance of several women from the village. Unprepared and inexperienced, the group soon faces their inevitable demise from an ambush while exploring a cave.
With no one else left standing, the terrified Priestess accepts her fate—until the Goblin Slayer unexpectedly appears not only to rescue her with little effort, but to destroy the entire nest of goblins. Along with the Priestess, High Elf, Dwarf, and Lizardman, the armored warrior will not rest until all goblins from the borderlands have been eradicated forever.
