A new look at Denji's voice in Chainsaw Man arrives

On the official Twitter account for the anime adaptation of the manga written and illustrated by Tatsuki Fujimoto , Chainsaw Man , a special video was published showing a special message from the voice actor Kikunosuke Toya , who plays the character Denji . The artist uses the character's tone of voice in his message, which writes: « You all have big dreams, don't you? Then let's have a dream battle! Dream Battle! ».

This video is part of a collaboration between the Weiss Schwarz card game and the Chainsaw Man franchise , and the user who shared the video wrote: " Paper changes too well. It's not that I'm acting with my voice, but that it's possessing Denji inside. The expression is exactly the same. I can see why director Nakayama chose it because of the "tone" of it. I know this is normal for a professional voice actor, but you have to remember that he is a newcomer in the industry. Megumi Ogata once said: "Voice acting is a matter of talent ."

The full video is available below:

Synopsis for Chainsaw Man

The story takes place in a world where Demons threaten the peace of humans, making them targets to be eliminated. Denji is a young and depressed man who has sold several of his organs and works as a lumberjack and demon hunter to pay off his late father's debt. Denji owns a dog (who is also a demon) named Pochita, who has chainsaws and which he uses to do his work.

This is explained because humans can make contracts with demons. After returning home from a job, Denji is called in by a Yakuza to infiltrate a building and assassinate another demon. However, the plan was a trap to kill him as part of a Yakuza contract with the demon, gaining them more power. But Pochita comes to Denji's aid and bonds with him, becoming a half-man, half-demon and acquiring Pochita's chainsaws.
