Kadokawa 's manufacturer and distributor company , KDcolle , announced the release of two 1/7 scale figures based on the characters Kurumi Tokisaki (Date Ver.) and Tohka Yatogami (Date Ver.) from the Date A Live multimedia franchise , for August 2023 in Japan. The products are based on an original illustration by Tsunako , the illustrator of the original light novels.
The Kurumi Tokisaki figure stands approximately 210mm tall, will be priced at 24,000 yen (about US$168), and will be available for pre-order starting October 1 on the distributor's official website. The character is described as follows:
- « Kurumi Tokisaki is the main antagonist of the series. She is the third Spirit to be found in the series and is the most dangerous and deadly. She is very obsessed with Shidou and has the ability to manipulate time. Her code name is Nightmare. She has a split personality: that of a sweet and mysterious high school girl with a slow speech pattern, and that of a psycho killer. Kurumi is very aggressive in her actions, which makes it more difficult for Shidou to capture her ».
- « Tohka Yatogami is one of the main female characters in the Date A Live series. She is the first Spirit saved by Shidou and transfers to her class at the end of the first volume. Shidou named her after the date of her first meeting, the 10th. Later, Reine added the surname Yatogami to her. She is ignorant of the ways of the world, but nevertheless she has a normal sense of shame. Synopsis for Date A Live
Thirty years ago, a strange phenomenon called the Spacequake devastated central Eurasia, taking with it the lives of more than 150 million people. Since then, smaller spacequakes have been manifesting around the world. Shidou Itsuka, a seemingly normal high school student meets a girl at the epicenter of a spacequake.
He is informed by his sister Kotori that this girl is one of the spirits that, by making an appearance in the world, are the cause of said space earthquakes. He also learns that his sister is the captain of the Ratatoskr ship. She recruits him in order to make use of her mysterious ability to seal the powers of spirits. In order to prevent them from becoming a threat to humanity. However, there is a drawback. To seal the powers of a Spirit, Shidou must make the Spirit fall in love with him.
