On the official site for the video game developed and distributed by HoYoverse , Genshin Impact, a long-term collaboration with Ufotable studios was announced . The press release included a special promotional video produced by the studios, but did not reveal many details about what this project will include, although some infer that it is a possible future anime adaptation.

Genshin Impact is available on mobile, PlayStation 4 , PlayStation 5 , and Windows PC . The " Version 3.0 " of the video game was released globally on August 24, while " Version 3.1 " will be released globally on September 28. The video game celebrated its one-year anniversary in September 2021, posting revenues of more than $2 billion in its first year.
