December 24, 2022 not only means the arrival of Christmas Eve and Christmas, but also the farewell to a large number of anime series that are airing their final episodes today. One of them, and perhaps the most prominent was Bocchi the Rock! , which is celebrating its conclusion in a big way despite the fact that no sequel was announced by CloverWorks studios .
To begin, the production shared a special illustration starring the four members of the Kessoku Band , that is, Hitori Gotou , Ryou Yamada , Nijika Ijichi and Ikuyo Kita , as well as a special video thanking all the fans for their support.
The music videos for the songs “ Waurete Yaranai ( I will not forget )” and “ Seiza ni Naretara ( If I could become a constellation )”, shown in this latest episode, were also shared.
The project of artists who make illustrations to celebrate the broadcast of each one of the episodes could not end in any other way, other than with the participation of Aki Hamaji , the original manga artist, in the last illustration.
The eleventh episode featured a cover of the song “ Korogaru Iwa, Kimi ni Asa ga Furu ( Rock'n Roll, Morning Light Falls on You ) by the band Asian Kung-Fu Generation . It should be noted that in Bocchi the Rock! , the band members' last names are derived from this real-life Japanese band, and their instrumental roles also match (Masafumi Gotou, Kensuke Kita, Takahiro Yamada, Kiyoshi Ijichi).
Masafumi Gotou , vocalist of Asian Kung-Fu Generation , commented on this: « We are supposed to be born with nothing, but we become shy for fear of making a mistake or losing it. Still, I'm glad they treated the song “Korogaru Iwa, Kimi ni Asa ga Furu” with great care, which is about the determination to roll naked through this world ».
Finally, let's remember that the franchise will have an important special event on April 23, 2023 in Japan . The event will feature the main voice cast, so fans could expect important announcements during the event.
Synopsis of Bocchi the Rock!
Hitori “Bocchi” Gotou, lonely and eager to mingle with others, spends her time playing the guitar. One fateful day, Bocchi meets outgoing drummer Nijika Ijichi, who invites her to join the Kessoku Band when her guitarist, Ikuyo Kita, runs away before her first concert. Shortly after, Bocchi meets her last partner, the great bassist Ryou Yamada.
Although their first performance together is mediocre, the girls are strengthened by their shared love of music, and Kita soon joins them again. Bocchi and her classmates, who find happiness in performing, put all their efforts into improving as musicians while making the most of their fleeting high school days.
