On the official site for the anime adaptation of the novels written by Ayano Takeda and Nikki Asada , Hibike! Euphonium ( Sound! Euphonium ), a new promotional video for the OVA Tokubetsuhen Hibike! Euphonium: Ensemble Contest , which will open in theaters in Japan sometime in the Summer-2023 (July-September) season.
It should be noted that Kyoto Animation studios had previously reported that the "Joint Concert Arc" would have "a medium-length anime adaptation" (longer than a short film, but shorter than a movie). The novels inspired a thirteen-episode anime adaptation produced by Kyoto Animation studios , directed by Tatsuya Ishihara and scripts written by Jukki Hanada , released in April 2015.
