On the official site for the anime adaptation of the manga written and illustrated by Hotondo Shindeiru , Isekai Ojisan ( Uncle from Another World ), it was announced that the broadcast of the thirteenth and last episode of the series will be suspended indefinitely due to the new spread of the COVID-19 in China . The broadcast date of this final episode will be announced soon by the production team.
The series has been broadcast in Japan since July 6, but its production has been a complete disaster. The series went on a two-week suspension starting with its fifth episode in August, and was subsequently suspended indefinitely from the eighth episode in September due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The series restarted from its first episode on October 6 in Japan, and then reaches its second indefinite suspension.
The case of Isekai Ojisan has served to highlight Japan's dependence on animators hired independently from abroad. For his part, Hotondo Shindeiru has been publishing the manga through Kadokawa publisher's ComicWalker service since June 2018, after publishing it for a while independently through Twitter and Pixiv.
