On the official site for the new anime adaptation of the manga written and illustrated by Kazushi Hagiwara , Bastard!! Heavy Metal, Dark Fantasy ( Bastard!!: Ankoku no Hakaishin ), the production of a second season of the project has been announced. This second season will be titled Bastard!! Heavy Metal, Dark Fantasy – Requiem of Hell Arc ( Bastard!!: Ankoku no Hakaishin – Jigoku no Chinkonka-hen ) and is scheduled to premiere sometime this year in Japan.
The press release revealed new members of the voice cast for this second season, including:
- Takuma Terashima as Joshua Berahia.
- Sho Hayami como Nils John Mifune.
- Junichi Suwabe as Yngwei from Mattstrom.
- Koji Yusa as Zion Sol Vanderberg.

The kingdom of Metallicana is under attack by the Four Lords of Chaos. This group of villains - the ninja master Gara, the deadly thunder empress Nei Arshes, the cold and calculating Kall-Su, and the enigmatic dark priestess Abigail - will stop at nothing to get what they want, even if they leave utter destruction in their path.
