Blue Lock Synopsis
The story begins with the elimination of the Japan National Team from the 2018 FIFA World Cup, which prompts the Japan Football Union to start a training program to prepare a team of high school students who will participate in the 2022 World Cup. Isagi Yoichi, a forward, receives an invitation to join this program shortly after his team misses out on a chance to participate in the Nationals, due to passing the ball to his less skilled teammate, who obviously he missed the shot, denoting Isagi's cowardice in not daring to finish the play himself.
Their coach will be Ego Jinpachi, who intends to do away with the idea of "weak Japan in football" by applying a radical new training regimen: isolating 300 young forwards in a prison-like institution called "Blue Lock", and subjecting them to to rigorous training that will create "the greatest, most talented and selfish forward in the world."
