On the official site for the anime adaptation of the manga written by Katarina and illustrated by Ryousuke Fuji , Shangri-La Frontier: Crappy Game Hunter Challenges God-Tier Game , the project's main promotional video was revealed. The video confirms that the premiere is scheduled for next October in Japan , and shows for the first time the voice of Yuuma Uchida as the protagonist of this story.
For his part, Fuji began publishing the Shangri-La Frontier manga in Kodansha 's Weekly Shonen Magazine in July 2020. The manga is based on the novel series of the same name written by Katarina , which is published through from the Shousetsuka ni Narou site since May 2017. Katarina also wrote an additional series of novels that were published in Weekly Shonen Magazine itself .
Synopsis of Shangri-La Frontier
Rakurou Hizutome, a second-year high school student, is only interested in one thing: finding "shitty games" and beating them up. His skill at his games is second to none, and no game is too bad for him. So when he's introduced to the new VR game Shangri-La Frontier, he does what he does best: max out and skip the prologue to jump right into the action. But will even an expert player like Rakurou be able to discover all the secrets that Shangri-La Frontier hides?
