During the Sakura Fes event in Japan it was announced that the anime adaptation of the manga written and illustrated by CLAMP , Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card-hen , will have a second season. According to what was mentioned in the press release, this new sequel will adapt the rest of the original manga until its conclusion.
For its part, CLAMP began publishing this sequel manga through Kodansha 's Nakayoshi magazine in June 2016. A twenty-two-episode anime adaptation premiered during the Winter-2018 season (January-March) and was Produced by Madhouse Studios .
Sinopsis of Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card-hen
Sakura Kinomoto has retrieved all the Clow Cards and transformed them into her own Sakura Cards, so she begins her first year at Tomoeda High School. After her first day of school, Sakura meets her love Shaoran Li, who informs her that she is moving to Tomoeda for good. To her surprise, Shaoran will go to the same school and it seems that Sakura's life is on the right track.
However, when Sakura goes to sleep, she finds herself in a dream with a mysterious cloaked figure and is surrounded by transparent cards. Waking up in fright, Sakura is surprised to see that her dream has come true and that the Sakura Cards have turned transparent. Continued dreamlike encounters with the unknown enemy and the acquisition of a new magical key set the stage for Cardcaptor Sakura's latest adventure.
