On the official site for the anime adaptation of the light novels written by Yuuki Yaku and illustrated by Fly , Jaku-Chara Tomozaki-kun ( Bottom-Tier Character Tomozaki ), a promotional video for the second season of the project was revealed. The video confirms that the production team and voice cast from the first season are returning for this sequel, but does not indicate any scheduled premiere date .
Yaku began publishing the light novels through Shogakukan 's Gagaga Bunko imprint in May 2016. In addition to the manga adaptation by Bana Yoshida , the work inspired a twelve-episode anime adaptation produced by Project Studios. No.9 , and aired during the Winter-2021 (January-March) season in Japan.
Sinopsis of Jaku-Chara Tomozaki-kun
Fumiya Tomozaki is Japan's top player in the online game Attack Families, commonly known as “Tackfam”. Despite holding such a revered title, a lack of social skills and kindness causes her to fail in his everyday high school life. Not having any friends, he blames the convoluted mechanics and unfair rules of life, forcing him to give up and proclaim himself a lower level character in this "game."
After a fateful encounter with another high-level Tackfam player, Fumiya is shocked to discover the player's true identity: Aoi Hinami, a popular, smart, and outgoing classmate who is the complete opposite of him. Aoi, shocked at how inept Fumiya is at anything other than Tackfam, decides to help him succeed in what she calls the best game of all. Through the horrifying trials of social interactions and relationships, Fumiya begins to advance in the glorious game of life.
