The publisher Kadokawa revealed during the Fantasia Bunko Daikanshasai Online 2023 event that Ichiei Ishibumi 's literary franchise , High School DxD , will have a new spin-off light novel series titled “ Junior High School DxD ”. The statement did not indicate if it will be a new series or if it will simply be a single book, so we will have to wait for more information.
Although Ichiei Ishibumi is credited with the original idea, it is actually Rippuu Shinonome who is in charge of the story, while Miyama-Zero continues to be in charge of the illustrations. While no information about the plot was revealed, the fact that it is titled “ Junior High School ” instead of “ High School ” indicates that it will star younger girls.
Ishibumi and Miyama-Zero began publishing the light novels in September 2008 through Fujimi Shobo 's Fujimi Fantasia Bunko publishing imprint , and completed them in March 2018 with a total of twenty-five volumes. After the last volume, Ishibumi announced the sequel Shin High School DxD , continuing the original story and whose first volume was published in July 2018.
The first three seasons of the anime adaptation were produced by TNK studios and accumulated a total of thirty-six episodes, released in January 2012, July 2013 and April 2015, while the fourth season, titled High School DxD Hero It was produced by Passione studios and had a total of thirteen episodes, released in April 2018 in Japan.
Synopsis of High School DxD
High school student Issei Hyoudou is your typical pervert who does nothing productive with his life, spying on women and dreaming of having his own harem one day.
