movie Madoka Magica:
Walpurgis no Kaiten , a new promotional video for the project was
revealed. The video reveals for the first time the magical girl appearance
that Madoka will have in the film. It is scheduled to be released in
winter 2024 in theaters in Japan.
The franchise is based on a smartphone game released for
mobile devices in Japan in August 2017 and available in the QooApp catalog
.
The original twelve-episode anime Puella Magi Madoka
Magica premiered in January 2011. The films Puella Magi Madoka
Magica the Movie Part 1: Beginnings and Puella Magi Madoka
Magica the Movie Part 2: Eternal premiered in Japan in October 2012,
and the sequel Puella Magi Madoka Magica The Movie Part 3: Rebellion premiered
in October 2013. The second season, officially titled Magia Record:
Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica Gaiden – 2nd Season: Kakusei Zenya ,
premiered on July 31, 2021 on Japan and had a total of eight episodes. The
final season Gaiden Final Season – Asaki Yume no Akatsuki premiered
on April 3, 2022 in Japan and had a total of four episodes.
Synopsis of Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica
Madoka Kanami and Sayaka Miki are regular high school girls with regular lives, but all that changes when they encounter Kyuubey, a magical cat-like creature, and Homura Akemi, the new transfer student. Kyuubey offers them a proposal: he will grant any of her wishes and, in exchange, each of them will become a magical girl (mahou shoujo), gaining the power to fulfill her dreams.
However, Homura Akemi, who is already a magical girl,
urges them not to accept the offer, stating that it is not as good as it
sounds. Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica is a story of hope, desperation and
friendship, about the difficulties of becoming and being a magical girl, and
the great price that must be paid to make a dream come true.
