On the official site for the anime adaptation of the manga written and illustrated by Akihiro Ononaka , Gushing Over Magical Girls ( Mahou Shoujo ni Akogarete ), a new promotional video for the project was revealed. The video confirms that the premiere is scheduled for the Winter-2024 season (January-March) and announces new members of the voice cast.
New voice cast members include:
- Aoi Koga as Kiwi Araga/Leopard.
- Shiori Sugiura as Korisu Morino / Nero Alice.
- Mayuko Kazama as Sayo Minakami / Magia Azul.
- Misaki Ikeda as Kaoruko Tenkawa / Sulfur Magic.
Ononaka began publishing manga through Takeshobo 's Manga
Life STORIA magazine in January 2019, where it is still in
publication. Furthermore, Ononaka also wrote Kumika no Mikaku ( The
Many Flavors of Kumika ) between August 2015 and July 2018, a
slice-of-life manga about an alien who discovers the countless dishes of
Earthly food.
Sinopsis de Gushing Over Magical Girls
Hiiragi Utena has always admired magical girls and
fantasized about becoming a cool heroine who fights evil. So when a
doll-like figure approaches her one night, claiming to have a magical power
latent inside her, she trembles with excitement. But her colorful dream is
quickly cut short in an ironic turn of events when she transforms into a
villain.
Uninterested in associating with the forces of evil, she
tries to leave when a group of magical girls appear and declare war on
her. A battle ensues and Hiiragi soon discovers that she enjoys inflicting
pain on others as her true nature begins to emerge. “Mahou Shoujo ni
Akogarete” follows Hiiragi in her new life as the leader of the villains,
fighting magical girls and unleashing her new sadistic nature.
