A video circulating on social networks shows the emotional
moment in which the voice actress Yui Ishikawa , who gives
life to the character of Mikasa Ackerman in the anime Shingeki no Kyojin ( Attack
on Titan ), breaks down in tears after recording her last voice lines
for the series.
In the video you can see Ishikawa sitting in the recording
studio, with her voice breaking, while she reads the script for her last
lines. After finishing recording, the actress gets up and walks away
from the microphone, visibly excited.
At that moment, Marina Inoue, the voice of Armin
Arlert, and Yuki Kaji, the voice of Eren Yeager, immediately come over to
comfort her . The video has been shared by thousands of users on
social networks, who have expressed their admiration for Ishikawa's work and
her moving reaction.
The voice actress herself offered an interview prior to
the broadcast of the final episodes , which was shared by the
production team through the official Twitter account, and where she expressed
the following:
- Hello
everyone. I'm Yui Ishikawa, and I play the role of Mikasa Ackerman in
the television anime 'Shingeki no Kyojin'. It's quite... how to
say it... complex, really. Since it started ten years ago, I had the
desire to play the role until the end. So being able to represent
it to the end is something that makes me very happy. However, I feel
like it's really ending. Ten years ago, the original story was
still going on, so I had a feeling that we would reach the end one day,
but it seemed like a distant future. To be honest, I wanted to
see the development through to the end in animation. However, now I'm
a little afraid of the air date.
- Yes,
there were many, many moments, but the most memorable for me was the scarf
moment. However, after completing the recordings to the end, it is
as if all the impressions will be rewritten by events. I'm sure
many of you who have seen the original play will think, “Oh, so this is
what's going to happen,” but… I really don't know… There are mixed
feelings, including a sense of difficulty in the scene . end that
I portrayed.
- It's
like being dominated by those emotions. Ah well, I'm sure that,
whether in a good or bad way, some scenes must have definitely left an
impression on all of you watching until the end. I think
so. Finally, after delivering this work for ten years, it will come
to an end. As I said before, it is a feeling of immense joy and at
the same time a little sadness. And it scares me a little to see the
scenes of those final moments.
It should be noted that Shingeki no Kyojin aired its
final episodes last weekend , after a ten-year broadcast that
definitely left its mark on the anime industry, its fans and, of course, its
voice actors.
Another viral video also shows a segment where Hiroshi
Kamiya, the voice of Levi Ackerman , is doing voice acting over the
sequence animated by artist Arifumi Imai . In the video
you can see Kamiya reading the script with great intensity, while Imai
encourages him and gives him instructions.
These videos show the effort and dedication that the voice actors put into bringing their characters to life and the impact that the end of a series they have worked on for so long can have.
