On the official site for the anime adaptation of the light novels written by Yomi Hirasaka and illustrated by Kantoku , “ A Salad Bowl of Eccentrics ( Henjin no Salad Bowl )”, a new promotional image for the project was revealed. The statement revealed more production details and the voice cast, and lists that the premiere is scheduled for the Spring-2024 season (April-June) in Japan.

Hirasaka began publishing the novel in October 2021 through the Gagaga Bunko publishing imprint , from the Shogakukan publishing house . A manga adaptation with illustrations by Koutarou Yamada began to be published in the Sunday Webry magazine in September 2022. For its part, this is not the first collaboration of Hirasaka and Kantoku , as they were previously in charge of the literary franchise from “ Imouto sae Ireba Ii ( A Sister's All You Need )”.

Synopsis of Henjin no Salad Bowl

Kaburaya Sosuke, an impoverished detective, met Sarah, a princess from another world with magical powers. Sarah began living with Sosuke, and she quickly adapted to life in modern Japan. Meanwhile, Livia, a knight who came from the same world as Sarah, found herself lost and homeless, but surprisingly enjoyed her days here. These two people, who lead positive lives despite their situation, began to influence Sosuke and the other weirdos in the neighborhood, including a devilish lawyer, a divorce agent, and a cult leader.
