On the official site for the anime adaptation of the
manga written by ONE and illustrated by Yusuke Murata ,
“ One Punch Man ”,
more information was finally revealed for the third season of the project.
Although a scheduled release date was not reported, it was confirmed that JCSTAFF studios will
continue to be in charge of production , contrary to what previous
leaks had assured.
While the studio remains the same, there are some
changes worth mentioning within the production team. Furthermore, the
statement does not yet list any director in charge of this third season.
ONE began
publishing the manga independently in 2009, and Yusuke Murata subsequently
began publishing it as a manga in Shueisha 's Tonari
no Young Jump service in June 2012. The work inspired a twelve-episode
anime adaptation produced by Madhouse studios and
released in October 2015, followed by a second season of twelve episodes
produced by JCSTAFF studios and released in April 2019.
One Punch Man Synopsis
Seemingly ordinary and unimpressive
Saitama has a rather unique hobby: being a hero. To pursue his childhood dream,
he trained relentlessly for three years and lost all of his hair in the
process. Now, Saitama is incredibly powerful, so much so that no enemy can
defeat him in battle. He is so powerful that he only needs to land one blow to
defeat his enemies, due to this he is no longer able to enjoy the thrill of
battle and has become quite boring.
All this changes with the arrival of
Genos, a 19-year-old cyborg, who wants to be Saitama's disciple after seeing
what he is capable of. Genos proposes that the two join the Hero Association to
become certified heroes who will be recognized for their positive contributions
to society, and Saitama, surprised that no one knows who he is, quickly agrees.
And so begins the story of One Punch Man, an action comedy that follows an
eccentric individual who longs to fight strong enemies that can hopefully give
him the thrill he once felt and just maybe, he will become popular in the
process.
