After today's episode, on the official site for the anime
adaptation of the manga written by Kanehito Yamada and
illustrated by Tsukasa Abe , “ Sousou no Frieren ( Frieren:
Beyond Journey's End )”, a new promotional video was revealed. In the
video it is announced that the series will enter the “ Magical Exam Arc
– Second Stage ” with the episode on February 16.
The Crunchyroll platform is responsible for
its distribution in the West, including a dubbing into Latin Spanish, while the
adaptation is confirmed with a total of twenty-eight episodes. On the other
hand, Kanehito Yamada and Tsukasa Abe began
publishing the manga in Shogakukan's Weekly Shonen
Sunday magazine in April 2020. Unfortunately, the work has gone
through a series of suspensions that slow down its progress.
Synopsis of Sousou no Frieren
The Demon King has been defeated, and the victorious
group of heroes has returned to their respective homes after disbanding. The
four—the mage Frieren, the hero Himmel, the priest Heiter, and the warrior
Eisen—remember their decade-long journey when it comes time to say goodbye. But
the passage of time is different for elves, so Frieren witnesses how her
beloved companions slowly die.
Before his death, Heiter manages to impose on Frieren a
young human apprentice named Fern. Driven by the elf's passion for collecting a
wealth of magical spells, the pair embark on a seemingly aimless journey,
revisiting places the heroes of old had visited. Throughout his travels,
Frieren slowly comes to grips with his regret for the missed opportunities to
form deeper bonds with his now-deceased comrades.
