On the official site
for the anime adaptation of the manga written by Takahiro and
illustrated by Youhei Takemura , “ Mato Seihei no Slave ( Chained
Soldier )”, the production of a second season was announced .
The video does not reveal an announced release date, but lists that Kana
Hanazawa will play the character Ren Yamashiro , the Commander of the
Tenth Unit of the Anti-Demon Forces and Commander-in-Chief of the entire
organization.
The first season
aired during the Winter-2024 season (January-March) and had a
total of twelve episodes. For their part, Takahiro (who is
also the author of the successful Akame ga Kill! franchise )
and Takemura began publishing the manga
through publisher Shueisha 's
Shonen Jump Plus service in January 2019.
Synopsis
of Mato Seihei no Slave
When
entrances to a different dimension known as the “Mato” spring up across Japan,
a new resource known as “Peaches” is discovered that grants unique abilities
only to women. However, dangerous monsters called “Yomotsu Shuuki” also roam
the Mato and are responsible for several disasters since then. To combat them,
the government formed the Anti-Demon Corps, an elite group of women who have
been empowered by the Peaches.
One day,
a high school student named Yuuki Wakura was walking home from school when he
suddenly got lost in a Mato entrance. When he calls for help, he is immediately
rescued by Kyouka Uzen, the head of the Seventh Unit of the Anti-Demon Corps.
Recognizing his potential and also needing it to make his Peaches power more
effective, he asks Yuuki to join the Anti-Demon Corps by becoming his slave, a
position he might find more enjoyable than he would have initially thought. …
