After hints were given in Chapter 260
that Satoru Gojo would finally be back in “ Jujutsu Kaisen ” ,
fans were more than excited to know the developments of the next chapter. As we
well know, one does not have to wait until the official publication of the
chapter, scheduled for next Monday in Japan, since the leakers are in charge of
leaking the complete chapter several days before its publication.
On more than one occasion we have explained how they
manage to obtain the material before its publication, and that is that in their
desire for the Weekly Shonen Jump magazine to be published on the same day
throughout Japan, the publisher Shueisha sends the batches of the magazine
several days in advance. Thus, leakers have access to these lots either
directly or through someone in charge at bookstores, and get unpublished
photographs of the next chapters.
And that's how we get to Chapter 261 of
“Jujutsu Kaisen”, which has remained trending because, in theory, Satoru Gojo
is back, but not exactly as you expected. The
chapter begins with Yuuji Itadori continuing his fight against the King of
Curses, Sukuna, and determined to destroy his heart with his bare hands. But
Sukuna freezes when, before his very eyes, he again sees Satoru Gojo standing
on the battlefield.
But when Sukuna analyzes the situation better, he
realizes that it is Yuta Okkotsu occupying his master's body. It turns
out that in a flashback we are shown that RIka, Yuta's curse, devoured
Kenjaku's body and by doing so, Yuta was finally able to copy his cursed
body-switching technique.
This was all part of a much larger plan
that they would resort to if all the sorcerers were defeated by Sukuna. Even
Satoru Gojo himself approved of the idea, as he cared little about what
happened to his body after he died. Although it had been proposed that
Yuta copy Satoru Gojo's cursed technique, he was told that this would be
impossible due to the requirements he must meet as a sorcerer, specifically
those of the Gojo Clan.
Still, the plan does not seem to be
perfect, since Yuta can only use the Cursed Copy Technique for five minutes. If
he exceeds the time limit there is a possibility that he will die or even end
up staying inside Satoru Gojo's body forever.
After putting his master's body back together, Yuta
successfully completes the body swap and finally ends the flashback. Both
Gojo/Yuta and Sukuna activate their domains at the same time, and fans finally
have Gojo's Boundless Void before their eyes again.
Certainly the dream of seeing Satoru
Gojo again was fulfilled, but evidently this is very different from what
“Jujutsu Kaisen” fans expected :
- " That
type of scar on the head is unmistakable ."
- " I'm
sorry to say, but Yuta Okkotsu cannot become the next Satoru Gojo ."
- " Yuta
like Gojo doesn't look good visually speaking, he has a more stoic
personality ."
- " I
was so scared for a second thinking it was Kenjaku's doing ."
- " You
can tell that even though it's Gojo's body, Gege has drawn it to look more
like Yuta ."
- " If
it had been Kenjaku, perhaps things would have been more interesting ."
- « I
can literally see Yuta's face on Gojo's body .»
- « Why
do I think he looks sexier now than when he was alive? ».
- « Well
yes, we have Satoru Gojo back, but at what price? ».
- " I
was really hoping Gojo would come back to say goodbye to his students, but
this is kind of disappointing ."
- " The
worst panel in the entire manga, without a doubt ."
- « Now
that I look at him better, he doesn't really look like Satoru Gojo but a
completely different person .»
