The third
season of “ Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War ” will
join popular anime studio Pierrot 's newly created
PIERROT FILMS brand , a new venture that signals the studio's future
production goals.
Pierrot
Studios anime producer Yoshihiro Tominaga spoke to Men's Non-No magazine about
the company's long-term plans. To respond to the growing demand for
high-quality anime that can be produced quickly, such as “Kimetsu no Yaiba” and
“Jujutsu Kaisen,” the company has announced the launch of PIERROT FILMS.
“ This
studio will produce original works as well as works based on adult manga
(seinen) ,” says Tominaga. “ The next season of BLEACH:
Thousand-Year Blood War will also be produced at PIERROT FILMS. I think this
work is aimed at people who have already seen Kimetsu no Yaiba and Jujutsu
Kaisen, so our goal is to deliver high-quality images and stories in a
short period of time, while firmly reinforcing the studio's brand power “.
More than
just a brand move, PIERROT FILMS represents a major change in production style,
in addition to Pierrot's usual processes. Although the third season of “Bleach:
Thousand-Year Blood War” may capture the attention of most fans, “Yatagarasu:
The Raven Does Not Choose Its Master” is likely to be the first anime from this
new company, which will be broadcast as part of the Spring-2024 programming.
Honma said
in this regard: “ Yatagarasu: The Raven Does Not Choose Its Master,
which has been broadcast since April, is also a work created in this new style,
so please pay attention to it, as well as many series works currently being
released. pause. Please stay tuned for the future of Pierrot,
who is taking on the challenge of creating new animation .”
