If you
thought your emotional stability had already recovered after the bitter pill
that the animated adaptation put us through, we have news that will turn your
stomach again. The team behind Takopi's Original Sin (Takopii no
Genzai) unveiled a new trailer and promotional image for their compilation
film titled Takopii no Genzai -Arigatou, Mata Ashita-, also confirming
that it will hit theaters in Japan on November 27.
This
feature film is responsible for restructuring the six episodes that made up the
television miniseries, adding completely new sequences to enrich the experience
on the big screen. In the trailer, you can hear a preview of "Rabyu",
the main theme song performed by the artist Tele, who had already been
in charge of putting the music at the end of the anime. The singer commented
that he wrote this song thinking of giving a message of comfort to these girls
who deserve to be loved, imagining that one day the nightmare they are going
through will become something they can smile about.
Accompanying
the promotional video, an unpublished illustration made by character designer
Keita Nagahara was revealed. The image shows Shizuka, Marina and Azuma standing
inside a classroom at the end of the school day without crossing their eyes,
while Takopi leans gently on Shizuka's shoulder. This composition is accompanied
by the moving slogan "For you, who were always alone". For his part,
director Shinya Iino thanked the warm reception that the anime had, inviting
all fans to live this story with the impact of the big screen and a superior
sound system.
A luxury
cast and a first-class creative team
For this
film version, the main cast of voice actors reunites to bring the story's
complex protagonists to life. Actress Kurumi Mamiya plays the innocent
and misunderstood Takopi, while Queen Ueda lends her voice to the long-suffering
Shizuka Kuze. The cast is completed with the performances of Konomi Kohara
in the role of Marina and Anna Nagase playing Azuma.
As for the
technical section, the production is once again in charge of the ENISHIYA
studio. Filmmaker Shinya Iino once again takes over the general
direction of the project and supervises the scripts, while Keita Nagahara
is in charge of the design of the characters adapted for animation.
