The anime adaptation of the Mamahaha no Tsurego ga Motokano datta ( My Stepmom's Daughter Is My Ex ) romance light novels began airing during the Summer-2022 (July-September) season . However, even though it got off to a moderately strong start, it's slipping under the radar with each new episode.
Perhaps that is why the fewer and fewer people who continue to watch it are those who follow the original novel or manga adaptation. These fans noticed a change the production team made to one of the series' ecchi scenes, where protagonist Yume Irido was trying on a swimsuit.
The original novel shows Yume trying on the swimsuit, and the anime adaptation adapted the panel almost exactly the same. Or so most thought. It turns out that the adaptation put glasses on the girl, the only difference being in the scene. Perhaps the personal tastes of the animator in charge? Perhaps from the director? Maybe girls with glasses are the best?
Whatever the reason, the comments were immediate in a popular forum: " I prefer girls with glasses "; « Does putting her with glasses make her more attractive? »; " An exception to the rule, it seems that girls with glasses are indeed superior ."

A certain boy and a certain girl, both in high school, became a couple, flirting with each other, arguing over trivial things, frequently feeling irritated with each other, ended up breaking up at their graduation. And the two of them, Mizuto Irido and Yume Ayai, ended up meeting again in the most unexpected way. It turns out that his parents, both divorced, met, fell in love and got married, now making them step-siblings. The ex-partner, aware of their parents' feelings, establishes a "sibling rule", in which the one who becomes aware of the other loses. But, having so much contact living together, can they really ignore each other?
